The logo we are looking for should have a classic, formal font (we like Edwardian Script ITC, and would like something similar). We would like a simple graphic. No fishing lures or guns. The use of elk, deer or duck images is fairly common and while not opposed to the idea, we would prefer to stand out. The logo can primarily be a stylized version of the business name. A simple graphic is necessary because it needs to be something we can laser engrave and emboss. The logo should communicate a high quality of workmanship. It should connote sophistication and discerning taste. We want it to convey class without being pretentious. Some examples of brand identities that we like and are interested in emulating to some extent are: W.W. Greener, Holland & Holland, Purdey & Sons. Think Brooks Brothers, not Cabela’s. The reason we like Edwardian Script ITC is because it feels American, reminiscent of the signatures on the Declaration of Independence. I will attach the basic mock that I created in MS word.
