I based the shape on a design element from the 50AUS dollar note. I thought it tied it to the money aspct of the firm but also looks like a leaf (suggesting growth/new life).")

My idea to animate the middle line of the stave (the first draft had it as a sound wave which also brought to mind the mountainous Zurich surroundings) went down well, and evolved into an actual Zurich skyline, bringing the music to the place where the choir is based.
