Inspired by a local landmark, they wanted the imagery to honor this connection while emphasizing their focus on homebuilding.
I began by designing a simplified home shape as the centerpiece, then incorporated elements of the train trestle and the flowing river below to tie in the landmark inspiration. The consistent line weight throughout the mark ensures a modern, icon-like appearance, avoiding the varied line weights typical of classic illustrations.
The all-caps, stacked wordmark with generous spacing adds to the logo’s light and airy feel. At the client’s request, the word “HOMES” is bolded to clearly communicate the company’s focus.")
