Because the Organics Shop's client base is predominantly female, I incorporated the upturned face of a relaxed woman. The S doubles as her hair. There are no sharp angles in this design and I did not include any shadows because I wanted to keep the design simple and pure like the shop's cosmetics. The color palette follows the one set out by the contest holder and conveys growth and energy. The typeface chosen for underneath the logo is Bell MT Bold. I went through twelve different fontfaces before deciding on this one. This font has a rounded feel while still having serifs and a classic look. I especially like the rounded terminals on the letters 'r,' 'g,' 'a,' and 'c.'")

This past May I graduated magna cum laude from St. Mary's College of Maryland with a Bachelor's in Music, specifically opera. Naturally, I am now pursuing a career in graphic design.
These two passions of mine, singing and visual art, have always been at war in me. It has taken me twenty-two years to realize that maybe I can love both. I wish to connect classical music to a broader audience with captivating visual art and graphic design.
