Logo design for a non-profit organization educating pet owners, specifically in rehoming their pets when no longer able or available to care for them.
The concept combines a simplified dog and cat head that look in opposite directions using negative space - a symbol for a transition, a parting of ways. The tone is mature and serious, as opposed to whimsical or childish, and appropriate for the weight of such a decision. The design has a retro/vintage undertone, a nod to the sense of "home", "family", "good memories" that is associated with a beloved pet.
