The single overriding communication directive of this website is the brand promise: "Get Back to the Original You" and Get back to doing what you love. Everything on this site ties back to that promise.
If you are looking on this site, you have some sort of nagging medical problem. They need to get the sense that they’re in the right place, and that someone who knows what they’re doing (and wouldn’t mind grabbing a drink with) is there to help them.
The first time dealing with foot pain, lower back discomfort, or high blood pressure, always comes as a bit of a shock. You’re young at heart; why isn’t your body sticking with the program? And how do you deal with it?
Here at Dr. Frederick’s Original, we firmly believe:
•Life is best lived feeling in control of your health
•Minor issues that don’t require a doctor’s visit can add up to a tremendous mental, physical and emotional burden over time

…and your target audience
The ideal customer for Dr. Frederick’s Original is on the wrong side of 30 and starting to feel the signs of aging. Little pieces of their body are just not acting the way they used to and they’re looking for a way to regain some of the way they felt when they were younger – or at least not to keep falling apart.
They have a positive outlook on life and are driven by the need to stay present and active for their family. After watching the way their parents deteriorated into a sedentary lifestyle, they are determined not to let that happen to them. Success for them is having peace of mind about their health, or being able to keep up with/exceed people they perceive as youthful.
They’ve likely had a reality check – a nagging injury, a blood pressure scare – something that they’ve never had to deal with before. The idea of getting older doesn’t necessarily bother them – after all, time is undefeated – but aging is a state of mind they’re not willing to accept.
These aren’t ultramarathon runners, but they do care about staying active and being healthy for everyday life. They might fold every once in awhile when someone brings donuts to the office, but on the days they’re able to resist and stick to the salad they brought from home they feel pretty proud of themselves. Making small investments in their health – skipping the ice cream, hitting an extra day in the gym - is a key source of self-esteem.
They’re optimistic, fun and have a sense of humor; not necessarily the life of the party but a person that you always enjoy talking to when you see them. They take their health seriously and try to stay active, but if they’re not at a community event or a work happy hour, their natural state after the gym or nightly walk is on the couch watching TV with the kids.
