NOTE – Attached is a full requirements document, screenshots of websites we like and wireframe mockups. The mockups are basic ideas of the content needed on each page. The mockups should be used only as a base for your design ideas. You are free to take them and change them to fit your design. Additionally, there are 3 screenshots of websites, which can serve as examples of the kind of designs we like.
The website should be a fixed width of 980. The mockups are not scaled so you are free to adjust images, text, titles, lists and all the other elements to fit your design.
1. Homepage – homepage should be clean and direct customers to the 3 main areas of the website: review page, article page, discounts page. The header will contain our logo, with the menu to the right. There should be a search box and icons linking to facebook and twitter.
The top part of the content area is the major focal point of the site. I would like a set of images that funnel visitors to the main areas of the site. See attachment “Page1” and “Page2” for examples. Above or below the 3 main images, should be an image button that stands out on the page. This button will direct users to our questionnaire form. This button should be the first thing visitors notice on the page and obvious that it is clickable. I don’t want it to be simply a banner that people overlook, you can adjust the shape and size, combine it with the 3 main images. Anything that will entice visitors to click one of the buttons in that section.
The rest of the page should contain the content shown in the “Wireframe – Home” attachment. Again, the layout in the wireframe is a basic concept showing the importance of the content and what is to on the page. You may adjust it for your design.
2. Review Page –
See attached “Wireframe – Review”, and http://www.1800dietplan.com/diet-to-go-review/
The review page will be dedicated to an individual diet plan with a detailed review of the product. As well as discount coupons. There can be as few as 1 coupon and up to 3 coupons so it should look clean no matter how many coupons are showing up. There needs to be an area for “quick facts” on the page as well, see wireframe for example of content. The coupons should be noticeable and entice visitors to click on them.
3. Comparison Page –
See attached “Wireframe – Comparison”, and http://www.1800dietplan.com/diet-plans/
The comparison page should feature 3 diet plans at the top followed by a comparison chart. You may rearrange columns and the way the data is displayed in the chart as you see fit.
4. Article Page –
See attached “Wireframe – Article” and http://www.1800dietplan.com/aerobics/
The Article page needs a submenu for the article categories. The example in the wireframe is just a placeholder. I’d like to see what ideas you can come up for a easy navigable submenu. The rest of the page will contain an article with titles. A nice list of recent and related articles to the right and a comments section below the article.
5. Categories Page
See attached “Wireframe – Article” and “Page 3”
The categories page will the central home for all the articles and news. There are currently 3 main categories “Health”, “Nutrition”, “Exercise”. I’m looking for a clean layout for readers to find the articles and to navigate between them.
Color Scheme: The current logo will stay and you may use the current colors but you are also free to try additional colors.
NOTE: The priority of this site is a clean, easy to navigate site. The attached mockups are basic concepts, which do not contain spacers, separators, shading, backgrounds or any other aesthetics. You will need to design those into the pages. The attached screenshots are good references to the type of design we like in our websites.
