Fight Aging! is an advocacy initiative that publishes aging research news and raises funds for specific research projects, largely those run by the SENS Research Foundation.

I need posters for a fundraising initiative for research aimed at repairing the underlying cellular damage that causes aging. I'll be running a matching fund fundraiser in Q4, October to December. It seeks to raising $50,000 from the grassroots community of research supporters and donors. A $100,000 matching fund has been raised to offer 2:1 matching, meaning donate $1 and an additional $2 is drawn from the matching fund. This seems to work well in the community I publish to, and has been successful in past years. The funds will go to the SENS Research Foundation ( http://sens.org ), an established organization that coordinates and funds early stage research into repairing the damage that causes degenerative aging and age-related disease. The posters publicizing this fundraising will be going out to supporters for local events and conferences; they'll be seen by a wide range of people, ordinary donors to scientists working in the field and institutional representatives who fund those scientists. ------- Poster size: 24 x 36 or 27 x 40 (no opinions on which is better). At least 150dpi, as this will be printed. I need designs that can serve as templates for posters and pages using different wording and at different sizes, e.g. letter size or other poster sizes. So where there is wording, it has to exist in a way that doesn't make it hard to just erase it and replace it; scaling the word count and size for different poster sizes and uses. Male or female, but I'd like to see both. * Catchline example: She's only smiling because the cameraman asked her to. * Following catchline example: The reality? She is in constant pain. She has trouble with simple daily activities. She has three chronic medical conditions for which no cures yet exist, one of which will kill her within the next few years. One of the reasons to pay for services here is to obtain better takes on this idea. I'd like to hear alternative ideas, arrangements, or better ways of doing this. Especially on the size or amount of text for best effect - it's hard to tell when envisaging it as to how much is too much, as I'm no designer. I'm looking for something that catches the eye and pulls someone in. The goal is fundraising, and whatever works for that is whatever works for that. I'm generally in favor of clean designs; light background, let the face in the image do the talking. As to colors there is a free hand; this is not tied to any particular organization's branding, and I'd prefer it not to be. It would make it easier to reuse later.
