Qui sommes-nous ?
LiveLung is a branded program of the Dusty Joy Foundation, a nonprofit organization with a mission of advancing lung cancer awareness, early detection and compassion for those impacted by lung cancer. Our nonprofit operates on a shoestring budget to raise awareness about lung cancer, such as radon and lung cancer screening. We also are adding lung cancer support groups. We need to develop new marketing materials and redesign our LiveLung website but not until after we get a fresh, dynamic LiveLung logo. Our primary target audience are lung cancer survivors and their co-survivors (family and friends). Secondary target audience is the general public and medical community who often think they know about lung cancer, but usually are woefully misinformed or not current on recent developments about screening and molecular testing, etc. And we're finding that pretty much everyone needs a lesson in compassion (except lung cancer survivors).

The logos we uploaded are our own internal attempt at creating a new logo. None of these is acceptable. You can see the current logo we use at livelung.org. LiveLung is a brand/website/program of the Dusty Joy Foundation, a nonprofit with a mission of advancing lung cancer education, early detection and compassion for those impacted by lung cancer. The LiveLung logo will be used on our website (www.LiveLung.org) as well as on print materials, signage and supporting materials for our monthly support group meetings. Since LiveLung is focused on community involvement and engagement, our vision for the new logo is something to reflect that. During the past four years since our original LiveLung logo was created, we have a sense of what we would like to have in a new logo. However, we want designers to feel free to be creative and original. Here are our thoughts. We’d like a crisp, clean logo that will look fresh on the website as well as print materials. We are imagining something like a vine or a plant to demonstrate life and growth. We are not locked into any particular colors. We won’t know what works until we see the colors. Some on our team do not like the current colors on our website. Some suggest blue, periwinkle, purple, grays and white. But we will be undergoing a redesign of the website following the new logo creation.) We’ve toyed with the idea of roots growing in the shape of lungs, along with some type of plant growth above. Our site is used primarily as a portal for lung cancer in the news and information about all lung cancer organizations with encouragement for people to get involved. Here are some additional random thoughts we've discussed about the logo: Transform the L’s into some type of vine. Make the “L”s kind of like the cancer ribbon (see Dr. Lucy’s logo www.drlucys.com) Something inspired by this image may work: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/163537030189386913/ We’re using dandelion seeds in lung cancer awareness jewelry (Wish Necklace) so you may want to incorporate a dandelion or seeds into the design. (See our Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/DustyJoyShop?ref=l2-shopheader-name) Use of negative space may win extra points.

Stunning work! Fast and great communication. Jani was a pleasure to work with and I could tell he enjoys what he does from our first interaction. He understood exactly what I was looking for and nailed it on the first try. Thanks again!
