Congratulations on making it to the final round of this contest! My team has selected 7 designs that we like the most so far, created by the 6 finalists. We wanted each of you to see the designs that got you to the final round, as well as the designs created by the other finalists. With permission from 99Designs, I have uploaded those designs to the brief. Please review your design, as well as those of the other designers, and see what you come up with. A few notes: 1) We very much like the black and gold color palette, so please focus on that palette (it's fine to use black and gold on a transparent background). 2) For logos with an outline (such as a house), please use only one house outline, not two. 3) Keep your designs simple. 4) Please avoid images of trees, roses and tall buildings/skyscrapers.
We particularly like the following visual elements used in the first round of designs: house, keyhole, hands, people, location "pin", search/magnifying glass. Please experiment with these elements or come up with similar elements on your own. The overall shape of the logo should be either a circle or a rounded square. Feel free to experiment with both.
Remember, the text should be a sans serif font, and please use lines on either side of the word "Leasing," like in 2f8q2r98.jpeg.
We would like the logo to be designed as an icon. Preferably a square with rounded corners, or perhaps a circle. The icon itself should be the logo. The text for the name of the company "Our Town Leasing" should be inserted next to the icon (or beneath the icon and to the right). Text should be a sans serif font, modern, and easy to read quickly. We are open to color palette suggestions from the designers, but would like to avoid reds and blues, and would prefer a "warmer" and "organic" palette. We anticipate a number of designers will submit imagery with houses, roofs, keys. Some of these are fine, but we are not committed to obviously "home-related" images. Please do not submit logos that simply use the name or the initials OTL, these will not be considered.
