We are a research group at the University of Ulm focussing on “Nutritional Psychiatry”.
There is an upcoming interest in the lifestyle of people with mental disorders, not only because of the high prevalence of somatic comorbidities and the reduced life expectancy of people with mental disorders.
We aim to raise awareness about nutritional challenges in mental health care. It has been shown, that unhealthy lifestyle behaviours are associated with psychological symptoms.
Dietary interventions are discussed as additional treatments for people with mental disorders.

The term „nutritional psychiatry“ should be used as wild card. It should be exchangeable later on, in order to adapt the logo for different research projects within the research area nutritional psychiatry.
Please, don't include images of brains in the logo. Thus, you should focus on mood, instead of on mental disorders.
Our research is not only about specific food items, it is about dietary behaviour in general.
Some colour would be nice, but the logo in black-and-white print should be appealing, too.
