We are looking for a typeface and treatment for “Reserve” that compliments the “Direct” script font. The Reserve would work with “Direct” as well as other city names like “Reserve Orlando” and “Reserve Myrtle Beach.” (See attached).
Although the whole word should be recognizable and have its own personality, it would be great if the “R” could also stand on its own, similar to the way Twitter and Facebook use their “T” and “F” icons as quick identification icons. Ideally, a design to the R could indicate travel or booking travel.
Additionally, if you have an idea for a stand-alone icon or logo mark that represents travel in some unique way and complements the “Reserve,” we’d be open to that as well.
We’re thinking “Reserve” should be a Sans Serif to compliment the script font of “Direct” or the city name, but we are open to other ideas. If the idea doesn’t totally rock, then stick to the above.
I realize there are a lot of beginners here, but if you do not get feedback, it's because your design concept was not in range of our professional standards and we do not have time to push your ideas further. Please do not waste your time if your concept is not one you think can win.
NO AIRPLANES. Since we focus on a variety of travel, airplanes are not representative of what we do. If you submit an airplane, your design will not be considered in any way.
Script font is located here:
As noted above, we are open to other suggestions, but we like the "Wish you were here" postcard vibe this font gives off.
