Tea Party Wedding is all about offering advice on how to create a DIY wedding.
TPW is: Fun, creative, DIY wedding, strong, clean lines with a luxurious but attainable feel
TPW isn't: Cheap, tacky, primary colours or too pink, flouncy or fussy
Primary audience: Women 25 - 35
We would like to be able to add brand extensions to the business in the future. The initial logo design should be flexible enough to add another word on the end of Tea Party Wedding to make it one of the core brand's products e.g. Tea Party Wedding Dresses / Tea Party Wedding Venues
Primary logo usage will be online so consideration should be given to size and legibility of font use, however the logo may also be used on print and merchandise so should look good in a range of sizes. Main online usage will be on the company website and on social networking sites and adverts on others' blog. Consideration of logo design should look at use of textual / icon use. However, the logo does not need to have an icon/image if felt necessary (tea cup / tea pot is definitely not a total requirement). Tea Party Wedding is more about the social aspect or theme rather than a literal application of the brand in the business offering.
Whilst wedding sites are mostly female TPW should not have an overly feminine feel with too much pastel colouring preferring clean, smart colours on white and the reverse (white on colour). The font type should be clean on it's background but can use a floaty feminine or clean feminine font type. It is also not essential to have a tea cup / tea pot in the design.
Initial thoughts and preferences:
I'd like to obtain a retro / modern feel from the logo design. We had thought that the logo might look nice as a clothes label but open to all sorts of suggestions.Handwriting type font might look nice but should strike a correct balance of legibility as can be sometimes difficult to read on screen
