If at all possible, we would like for our logo to represent the symbolism of the banyan tree and the metaphor of how it relates to our business.
The logo should show the wide canopy of the banyan tree and the multiple trunks / pillars supporting it. Some ideas are that It can include something that represents real estate like the shape of home embedded somewhere, like a gable roof being the outline of the canopy, or the Y in banyan being integrated into the trunks / canopy, or the business name being integrated into the trunks/ pillars, but neither is necessary, just ideas. The tree can also be totally separate from the business name. We'd like "Banyan" to be more obvious / prominent than "Properties" possibly by difference in font size, bold, caps, placement or other emphasis.
The Symbolism / Metaphor - the Banyan tree is often revered and considered sacred. It grows into great groves with vast canopies. As the Banyan tree expands its canopy, it drops down new shoots that root into the ground and become pillars / new trunks. Each new trunk / pillar provides further stability, provides nourishment and allows the canopy to expand further. The ever expanding canopy provides home and shelter to many and also bares great fruit that provides nourishment for the one who planted and cares for the tree and to all that live under its canopy.
The connection to real estate is this.... All of the properties that we own as well as the ones that we sell make up the roots to this vast canopy. We strive that each new property becomes and proud and sacred home. Like the pillars / trunks of the banyan tree that allow the canopy to expand, each new property will be like the shoots / roots of the tree and provide greater stability and the ability to reach out to farther places. As our canopy (business) expands it will bare great fruit for us, our investors, our buyers and our tenants.
The logo will mostly be seen in our business relationships with people who invest with us, our business partners and contractors. Home buyers and tenants will also see the logo but are influenced by the property itself, not the name or impression given by the company.
