Our Church is embarking on a capital campaign. The tag line is "Honoring Our Past. Embracing Our Future"
We will be raising money for repairs, debt payoff and improvements. It will be the 50th anniversary of our sanctuary in 2014.
I attached a draft of a logo that I designed (see doodle attached below "Draft of one idea for Vision logo.jpg"). I have received some positive responses about it from committee members so if you like it, please polish it or embelish it as your talents dictate to make it look professional. It might make your design derivatives of my doddle a front runners to win the competition.
Here's what I was thinking when I designed the logo:
I was playing with the idea of the “n” in Vision looking like the outline of the sanctuary to reinforce that it is a building/capital campaign. See shape below inside sanctuary indicated by the arrow below. This also the shape of the exterior roof line for the main sanctuary.
I also tried to work in the 50 year anniversary of the sanctuary by changing the ‘s’ and ‘o’ in ‘Vision’ to a ‘5’ and ‘0’. If that is too cheesy or doesn't suit your fancy, please take some liberties in that regard.
I made the ‘V’ look like a Christian who is both celebrating and welcoming...dare I say embracing.
The ‘I’ stands for ‘I’ have exhausted every ounce of creativity that could be squeezed out of my imaginatively arid mind. The second ‘I’ is for ‘I’ need your help in making this look professional.
