General info: We are the national leading organization that is changing the way America does business. U.S. Green Chamber provides educational outreach, networking opportunities, and advocacy benefits to sustainable businesses. This logo will be seen in every city in the United States and will expand around the world. This logo will have a huge impact on our planet and humanity as a whole. Organizations values and/or Mission: At the U.S. Green Chamber of Commerce. We are changing the way America does business! o Our goal is to facilitate and support sustainable business practices that spur innovation, job creation, energy efficiency and an overall brighter economic future. o Our mission:To empower businesses to grow through achieving the triple bottom line: economic, environmental and social sustainability. o To improve operational efficiencies, implement environmentally sustainable practices, and tap into unexplored markets and opportunities in both established and emerging companies. o As the leading organization advancing the economic, environmental, and social success of American businesses, we believe that fostering a healthy environment is the key to growing a vibrant and successful economy. 2. Target Audience: • Customers: In general, they are either company leaders or employees who already care about greening their business or want to learn more about moving in that direction. They care about making a profit and image, but they also care about making sure they are inspiring their company’s team to make business choices to help make a healthier and more socially just planet. o Large Corporations- Employees and leaders o Mid-sized Companies o Small and Sole Proprietorship Companies o Consumers- These are those who are the buyers of services or products from these companies. (This is not our biggest target, but worth mentioning.) • Demographics- The person who will be making the decision to join the U.S. Green Chamber will most likely have/be: o Higher level education: They will be well read and more informed about some of the challenges we are facing as a planet. They will probably be higher level management even if they own a smaller company. o Job Titles: CEO, Sustainability Officer, CMO, CFO, Owner, Sole Proprietor o Social/Economic- Many of our older customers will come from slightly higher economic backgrounds, but we will also have the “millennials” who are just starting their careers and will be engaged. o Geographic Concentration: We will focus in the U.S. initially. Within the U.S., we will focus on the higher education level areas and those that traditionally vote for sustainability focused initiatives. o What motivates them?- PROFIT: These buyers care about making their business successful and don’t want to get left behind FEELING GOOD by Making a difference: These buyers care about the planet and making sure it is healthy for future generations. They want to feel like they have made a difference

1. Overall look and feel: a. Professional b. Innovative c. Cool/hip d. Cutting Edge e. Clean f. Look toward the future g. Business focus 2. Most Important Point and impression when one sees our logo?: “The future of all business” and “Commerce”- We mean Business- New business” 3. Project Objectives: • Purpose of Logo: o Primary Directive: Upgrade company image and establish credibility. To have logo the truly represents who we are as an organization- and in doing so, we will upgraded the company’s image. o Secondary Directive--Establish Credibility- Show innovation. Current logo leans on the tacky side. We want Innovative, cool and hip. Current logo is stuck in the past. • Current Logo (see attached)- Our current logo is being REDONE because it does not fully represent our organization and does NOT look or feel like business, professional, innovative, hip/cool, cutting edge, clean, etc. It does look “green”, which is important, but it does NOT have any of the following qualities which we need. It looks dated. 4. IMPORTANT: Individual “Chapter” Names” to be added later: We also need to design the logo in a way that we can easily add Individual Chapter Names to our logo. We are not going to have these in our main logo, but need to consider them as we are creating a design and making a blank space for them. For example: We will need a place to add “San Diego Chapter” or “Central Florida Chapter” or “Greater New York Chapter” etc. to our logo as each organization creates their own chapter. We will NOT include these names in our logo, but need to accommodate a blank place for incoming chapters to add their name to our logo. Feel free to show where these could go in your overall logo design. 5. Competition: • Who is Competition? - U.S. Chamber of Commerce • Competitor Logo - .Red, White, and Blue with Eagle Head. • How are we different from our competition? o Their focus (our competition) is PROFIT for a select few large companies at the cost/expense of all else including people and the planet. o They don’t represent the voice of ALL of the businesses in their network. They are only representing the few companies that contribute the biggest dollars. o We are the national organizations that represent all of the businesses. o We believe that long-term profit will only come if we have resources that are preserved and employees that are healthy and happy. o We care about the health of the planet o We care about social sustainability- providing healthy, happy and socially just working environments for employees. 6. Distribution: • Need to have it be reproduced for window’s decal. Simple 2 color if possible. Grey and clear? Green does not have to be part of the design, but can be. • Chapter Naming and Design: As described above, we will be bringing on “Chapters” from around the country and need to build in a design that will incorporate their local name, ie.. “Central Florida Chapter” or "San Diego Chapter" or "Greater New York Chapter", etc.
