2. Target Audience:
• Customers: In general, they are either company leaders or employees who already care about greening their business or want to learn more about moving in that direction. They care about making a profit and image, but they also care about making sure they are inspiring their company’s team to make business choices to help make a healthier and more socially just planet.
o Large Corporations- Employees and leaders
o Mid-sized Companies
o Small and Sole Proprietorship Companies
o Consumers- These are those who are the buyers of services or products from these companies. (This is not our biggest target, but worth mentioning.)
• Demographics- The person who will be making the decision to join the U.S. Green Chamber will most likely have/be:
o Higher level education: They will be well read and more informed about some of the challenges we are facing as a planet. They will probably be higher level management even if they own a smaller company.
o Job Titles: CEO, Sustainability Officer, CMO, CFO, Owner, Sole Proprietor
o Social/Economic- Many of our older customers will come from slightly higher economic backgrounds, but we will also have the “millennials” who are just starting their careers and will be engaged.
o Geographic Concentration: We will focus in the U.S. initially. Within the U.S., we will focus on the higher education level areas and those that traditionally vote for sustainability focused initiatives.
o What motivates them?-
PROFIT: These buyers care about making their business successful and don’t want to get left behind
FEELING GOOD by Making a difference: These buyers care about the planet and making sure it is healthy for future generations. They want to feel like they have made a difference
