Please check out our website for more details about our organization: http://www.uffiziorder.org
Uffizi comes from an art museum in Italy where one of our founders caught the vision to create space for people to experience the love and peace of God where they're at, outside the church.
We're not a big fan of our current logo; we'd like to get away from the boring, we'd like to make it much more modern, and we'd love a picture/design that has a "story" behind it. For instance, in our current logo, we were going for the paint strokes to look like "a city" and the yellow as a "halo"=brining peace to the city. We are big on the idea/concept of "Shalom" - God's peace and completion, where all things are brought under His rule/reign, all wrongs made right, all injustices (wealth, social, economic, political) settled.
Our initiatives are varied: currently we work with the homeless, low-income latino kids and families, and are starting to work with the sex-trafficked. None of these are defining of us, as they are based around the cities' current needs.
We are a Christian non-profit, however we partner and work with *everyone* (including many non-religious entities.) We often tow the line between a "religious" organization and a community based-non-profit.
We're also about *doing.* We would believe that social justice/action goes hand-in-hand with what most Christians define as "evangelism." Our goal is to love God, love others well, and teach others how to love others well.
Thanks in advance for helping us with our design!
