While we are open to different concepts, our vision of the logo would incorporate:
- a person/people
- both cats and dogs – animals which represent the vast majority of pets in Australia
- some element that recognisably represents planning, such as (but not necessarily) a city skyline with buildings, houses, factories, trees, waterways etc.
The logo should reflect the key concept that “pets are an integral part of everyday life” – that they are important and normal elements in the fabric of society, not frivolous add-ons.
The two partner organisations to the award are the Planning Institute of Australia and Petcare. Our logos are attached. The Award logo should not incorporate these, but should relate to them in a sympathetic manner.
Please note we want to steer away from anything that might be construed as “cute”. We want a design that helps people in a professional and decision-making capacity take pet ownership and its responsibilities seriously.
