(Being written by their publicist): Live Life After Stroke is operating like a 501C3 (and we might be forming one in the future) but currently, LLAS consists of two women leaders (one stroke survivor, Michelle, and one caregiver, Kathi, to a husband who suffered and later died from a stroke). Michelle is the executive director of the S. Cal Hospice Foundation and Kathi is the wife of a well-known (nationally and locally) real estate developer in S. Cal. The two ladies have teamed up to launch a motivational speaking tour across the U.S., starting in CA. Their goal is to help both the caregiver and the patient to find support, hope, strength, and happiness after a stroke occurs. There is no doubt that a stroke can be devastating, but they are here to show people that they can create a new normal, and thrive. Michelle has just written a book in which she talks about having an unbelievable life after death experience. Because of that, she has developed an unwavering faith in God and knows that her path is to help others have faith and give them the hope that they can get through adversity. That said, they want to appeal to both secular and non-secular audiences. Michelle will talk more about her experience with Christian-specific audiences and less so with medical folks, for example. Kathi is an incredibly positive woman—very bubbly and looks like she could be a news anchor (Katie Couric-esque). They are serious about this venture and will be tapping Hollywood and D.C. to launch this effort. Their target audience is anyone interested in learning more about how to overcome adversity and how to be happy through tough times. They currently speak to a wide variety of groups including: support groups, hospice groups (older patients near death or loved ones coping with grief), major hospitals and their doctors (Stanford, UCLA), veterans groups (Wounded Warriors), businesses, schools, members of Congress, third party organizations, and universities. They envision this being an organization that helps inspire, supports and provides resources for those recovering from Stroke and those grieving. The long-term goal is be the next Susan B. Komen Foundation. They don’t want any depressing images like hands holding each other – they want this to be uplifting and inspirational. Their website will be streamlined, clean, simple.

I'd lean toward the inspirational. Not some wonky/boring/typical non-profit logo. Possibly an image with LLAS. OR feel free to design something without LLAS or LLAS beneath it. Thank you!
