To give you and idea of the store's vision... From the street level of Jordan Village’s Main Street, stairs leading up to an elevated patio store front, door open inviting customers in, music lightly playing, window with singular mannequin standing gracefully wearing the latest in stylish women’s fashion trends will be your first visual of inPOURticular. The store, bright, open, inviting, oozing style, comfort, and taste, flat screen TVs showing fashion based programming, fashion shows from New York, Paris, Milan will be your first clue that inPOURticular is not your typical store.
Your second clue will be when entering inPOURticular you look to your right and see the two wine barrels that make up the wine bar, inviting you to partake in your favourite glass of Niagara Region wine… perhaps a Riesling from Cave Spring, a Marsanne from KEW, or a Pinot Noir from Westcott… as you browse the trendy, stylish brands you love. As you peruse the store you will notice that there is no central cash register, no detracting line-ups to dissuade you from your purchase. Instead each of our sales associates are armed with tablets, bringing your sale to you. Working one to one with our team members, we will have the freedom to create invoices, enter customer information, process gift cards, perform inventory lookups, and complete payments from anywhere you happen to be in our store. We will accept your signature on-screen, and email you a receipt. We will also follow up a few days later inquiring how those jeans are working out (we will also tell you we just received a new shipment of belts that would go perfectly with those jeans) to ensure your utmost satisfaction.
inPOURticular stands as a hybrid between traditional retailing and online selling. We will create a place of discovery, a physical store that gives consumers the ability to see, taste, and touch products in a way that is impossible online. But as an iGeneration retailer, we also understand that a higher level of service through personalized digital marketing campaigns, mobile checkout, mobile inventory management, access to more information, dialogue through social media, and in-store digital visuals are the game changer for the new shopping experience. That promise will be deliver on completely and with passion.
Success will be focused on getting to know inPOURticular customers and how they interact with the store brands: by collecting offline and online data on their buying habits and preferences, inPOURticular will invent a new customer experience that uses fun and innovative technologies to build loyalty, drive sales, and attract a new demographic to Jordan Village. The rewards in this scenario are two-fold: consumers view inPOURticular as a better-attuned, more responsive outlet for their shopping dollar, and inPOURticular benefits from the increased revenue that repeat patronage, tourists and higher average transaction costs bring.
Our culture of style and being attracted to non-commoditized products will be a hub for like-minded individuals. Our dialogue with our customers through blogs, newsletters and social media will emphasize our mantra that life’s adventures should be carried out with style – it’s all about the essence of style to embrace a new level of customer satisfaction. That’s inPOURticular.
In short... we are all about leading edge style, classiness, and the mix of fashion and wine. For the logo I picture perhaps a wine glass in the image of a mannequin... or something alone those lines. Simple, sexy, sleek. I chose the red pallet to represent red wine, and the blacks, greys, and whites as main colours, with the red being the pop of colour. A mix of loose imagery to parallel the play on words of inPOURticular.
I've attached other logos that resonate with me.
