Spread across 50 states and all U.S. territories, there are 1,250 Community Health Centers that provide vital primary care to 20 million Americans with limited financial resources.
Run by their own Board of Directors, health centers focus on meeting the basic health care needs of their individual communities, providing treatment regardless of the income or insurance coverage of the individuals they serve. The purpose of the Community Health Center model is to provide primary care access to communities with limited resources, to help shift the higher costs of emergency room care to a more appropriate lower-cost primary and preventative healthcare environment.
Family Health Source meet the pediatric thru geriatric primary care needs of Volusia County residents -representing over 25,000 visits annually. Our medical centers are located in Pierson, Deltona and DeLand.
