We are establishing a new business producing, marketing and selling high quality female tennis clothes and tennis apparel.
The brand name will be “Slice Avenue”. The word ‘slice’ references the tennis association given ‘slice’ is a type of tennis stroke, and ‘Avenue’ aims to brings connotations of style/quality/premium fashion.
The product will be high quality, tennis clothes (dresses, shorts, singlets, tops) for girls and women within the 12-30 year age bracket. The range ‘may’ extend in time to additional tennis accessories like visors, tennis bags, socks, head bands, jumpers, etc…..
The style approach will be predominately traditional design with some modern elements to ensure the outfits fit today’s styles. They will not be urban or inspired by street wear, but inspired by the traditional outfits of yester-year brought to today.
The outfits will be made from high quality, recycled fabric. It is sustainable techno-fabric – which is versatile, thin, stretches, soft and breathable. There is also a compression component that aids performance.
Given this, there is a performance element to the outfits – with the intended target being those whose take their tennis seriously. Perhaps young, up and coming tournament players on a professional pathway or quality weekend players.
To design a brand logo of ‘Slice Avenue’ that can be used as a branding device on the apparel and on associated marketing materials (websites, pamphlets, etc…)
The logo will be applied to the apparel via heat stamping, but may also be embroided on other items. The apparel will be in a variety of colours so the logo will need to be able to be applied and still stand-out across a wide range of colour backgrounds. Perhaps it will need to work in several colours itself. Prefer the logo/design to be one colour but will consider 2 colours.
We are looking for a simple but sophisticated design/logo. We do not want any typical or cheesy use of tennis racquets or tennis balls. Any subtle tennis reference is fine but nothing too obvious or overt.
The logo/design will also need to work in a small size – perhaps as small as 2/3cm in length (thinking the size of being applied to a clothing label).
Thank you for participating in this competition.
