This is a logo for a conference: https://cp2020.a4cp.org
The (research) topic of the conference is "constraint programming": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Const…rogramming
Constraint Programming is a subfield of artificial intelligence.
This is mainly a technology for solving hard problems (planning, scheduling, sudokus, puzzles).
Constraints for the logo:
The name: "CP2020" must be central.
We have the idea of having a (simple) origami style to represent the letters CP, such as https://www.weareconvoy.com/portfol…arch-park/
Indeed the origami captures well the "solving of hard puzzle" aspect of the technology (topic of the conference).
Another idea that we like is to have "pixel" logo to represent the "computer science" aspect.
Because the conference will be in Belgium, the logo should ideally have the colours Black, Yellow and Red (flag of Belgium).
As an humoristic reference to Magritte (famous Belgian painter), we also have the idea of having "ceci n'est pas une conférence" (written in French) like in his famous painting https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_T…_of_Images
we are now converging to a logo that can be fold realistically from a real sheet/ribbon of paper with the Belgian colours
