We would like a logo that is clean, simple, fun, artistically beautiful, yet highly contextual: with a quick glimpse, you know what it's all about (see logos above). Web 2.0-like for this project. The design should communicate the idea "invite friends at location x".
Below are some crops of the mobile App, so designers can see the color scheme that we've used so far. Please stay close to it for consistency.
Attached also a business card that we cobbled together ourselves while trying to iterate ideas / concept, based on graphics that we found online. Again, communicates preferred color scheme and perhaps style. Feel free to ignore the logo that you see on the business card, you professionals will hopefully come up with better designs. The logo we are looking for should either have a pictorial element embedded, or if it's only a stylized font, there should be something distinct about it that we can use in restricted space (i.e., as an App icon), which remaining recognizable. The letter i in Invout doesn't have to be capital, at this stage feel free to use whatever works best to your ideas. You can ignore the city-like vector, it will not necessarily be there as it doesn't fully convey the concept (we like how it looks though).
Check out the last 4 logos that we've just added above, all from the same designer (Hazel Anne). Notice how the pictorial theme cleverly forms part of the logo wording, appearing as one but still distinct. For example, the W in Winks forms part of the pig's head, and the color difference separates the 2. We think this is a great way to do it, clever, playful, and it looks good too. It also offers a pictorial that can be used stand alone and still be recognizable in terms of branding, for example as an App icon where space is limited. Similar examples above are his swag logo, 98 monkeys, and Reef Valley. It would be interesting to see a few proposals experimenting with this technique.
