An easy-to-use HTML5 smartphone app allowing customers to generate a reliable packing list quickly from a small number of data entry steps. For example, a traveler might enter round trip flights from Boston to San Francisco, and instructions for one day of business casual, one formal dinner and two days of skiing. PackAssist would provide an instant packing list, with checkbox capabilities. Users would have the option to customize, for example by entering a list of things they want for every ski trip, or PackAssist could use a generic list.
We have included several mockup designs. Please keep the functionality in mind, but the final design does not need to be based on our mockups in any way.
The app consists of 4 pages:
1) A logo page allowing users to create a new account, login
2) Trip Page.
Users can enter the locations they are leaving from / going to, date of trip, and gender. Users can customize their attire for specific days (ie, if it is an 8-day trip, they can specify formal/business casual / beach / camping / etc for individual days).
3) Packing List Page
A suggested packing list is provided on this page. Users can then “share” (to email / post to facebook) the list on this page, as well as save it for future use. Users can check-off whether they have individual items on this page.
4) A page (or submenu) allowing users to add/remove customized items
5) A page (or submenu) allowing users to load/save their packing list.
Allows users to create a PackAssist account / login / login with Facebook Connect. If logged in, this page shows users their saved trip history.
We have attached a few sample diagrams of how the site might look. "120215_Albert UI.ppt" consists of the most accurate look.
